Ready for the weekend, need to finish a school project with the 4th grader, other than that, good weekend to be cold! UT takes the Big 12 title Sunday nite and i prayyyyyy the Boys don't break my heart again on Sunday, BUT if they do I will keep my head up and not curse them too bad!

He's the best golfer in the world.. as a sports fan that's what I care about... nothing else! T-Giving, Turkey's and stuff...

More than anytime of the year, this is when I miss my Grandparents the most. Nothing like getting to their house, eating hangin out out and watching the Dallas Cowboys,,, about all that's left of that is the Cowboys part. Hell, that's not even a sure win for them like it used to be.Funny how we evolve into our lives ..... and get to look back, ahhhh the holidays, fun yet depressing too!
It hasn't been the same since my Grandparents passed... I miss that! Ok ya'll.... a little to deep??
well, should be a nice break here the next few days... Hook em over Ag's, need it! Went to last week's game, had a BLAST! i'll say it Florida will lose to UT in the title game... it may not even be close, speakin of that VY looked like UT VY last Monday, maybe there's still hope.
Ya'll hear Pancho Claus in Houston had a heart attack??? he did but he says he'll be well for the holiday's,,, this dude cruises around in a low-rider with a swing band??? Feliz Navidad! gotta love it, I thought that was all made up but apparently it's true.
Man, this year has flown, won't be long and we'll be back on full duty, takin on the ATX Tigers football duties, that's semi-pro football, ironically @ my HS job, Stony Point HS who continues to whip ass in the playoffs... next victim Tyler Lee Saturday night in Waco; GO TIGERS!

Crashfest

well, we had another great event out at THR on sunday, and the fans came out once again! its really cool to see a good turnout...... we need to pack that place as aften as possible. had a great time in the bikini bus of Mark Chrudimsky..... that was alright! at least i can say i closed out 2009 with a win! didn't know when i woke up today that i would be dressed in drag at somepoint today but hey.... u just roll with it!
a big thanks to everyone who has had good words for me this year, my rookie year as an announcer... it's been a blast, met lots of cool people....
Bobby Chaffee, you are the best my friend, you could do this alone... thanks for letting me be on YOUR team. John Molis, you are are the man, you make it happen. cool front today, weather should be nice for the weekend, need to get home and clean up some dog poop from the backyard jic anyone wants to hit the backyard tomorrow.... it's a a fancy life I live folks! did some stony point football last night, they won, homecoming tonite, talikin to a girl from mcneil last night.... sounds like they are worried about the mighty Tigers.. they should be, SPHS is bad ass, and will be for the foreseeable future.
goin back a few years for me, lockhart lions v hays rebels tonite in 4A, buda/kyle people, i still haven't forgotten 41-3 back in 1988!
need to continue my workouts, back to a 4 day workout week so far this week, I feel good...13.1 looms in mid november in the alamo city. that should be fun, rock n roll marathin series.. never done those, hell this is my first half or full marathon outside of austin..

what a week!

you know it's funny, we all live for 4 day work weeks... but when you have one it's like living hell!
took off monday to hang with the little one's and i have been chasin my ass ever since. but thats ok, its soon over and on to saturday... got some folks coming to the viewing party at the ranch, should be good.
lost lou albano yesterday, people always tell me wresting things, i go wayyyy back with wrestling. when it got popular and cool in the early 90's i was done with it! to me, southwest championship wrestling from san antone, world class from dallas and georgia championship wrestling along with midsouth in the 80's ROCKED! staged or not, these guys beat the living shit out of each other, and looked like they meant it! my aunt and uncle were at city coliseum every time one of these acts were in town... my aunt would even pick me up early from school!
kinda got back into it in the 90's when stone cold austin was beatin up mcmahan and all that crazy stuff but it all passed! now, wouldn't know any of em... went to wwe a while back in austin but hell, i went to get loose, loud and crazy!!!!!
man, racing, wrestling... no wonder my manners are what they are!

well here we are at hump day, I'm ready to get to the weekend. really nice that i don't have to rush up early saturday to get somewhere, alto there is a group comin over for UT/OU. big crashfest @ THR sunday. been a fun year announcing, good experience, great team i work with there... we'll see what happens for 2k10... may go back to full time racing, need sponsors for that tho.
UT must start early, hit oU in the mouth.... waiting until the 3rd not gonna work with this OU bunch, they have nothing to lose.... and how better to prove they are legit again.. both lossed been by a point..... wake up Horns, these guys are pissed and the national view of us is still "soft".. we go lay an egg in dallas and the point is proven.

2009 racin

well the season is over,points racing. Looks like we end up 9th, which I will take since we missed a handful of races.... lots of what if's, if I hadn't had motor trouble the third nite and missed the main..., if I hadn't got the DQ a few races back.. if I hadn't spun myself out of a possible top 5 this past week! but, it's all done and I'll call the season successful.
TX Stock Car Spectacular comin up, that is going to be a long ass weekend...
Busy week this week, Stony Point football Thursday, that is a really cool gig. Nice folks out there, big shout out to Rose for landing that for me, workin hard to make those folks happy, lots of people sink much dinero into that booster club, one reason they are so damn good!
Romo time tonite, I cursed at him last week so I'm sure tonite he'll be a stud, plus certifing that big screen the BIGGEST by the Guiness folks, yet another distraction, but hey, that's Dallas Cowboy football now..

JERRY WORLD-SO FAR

well here we are again, made it to Cowboy central... quite the anticipation for tonite's game v. the hated Giants at the new mosuleaum. Upon our arrival in Arlington we took care of the important stuff, went to Taco Cabana. From there, on tho see the football field............. man, from a far it looks like a new version of TX Stadium, but get close, then it changes!'That thing is right in the middle of town, streets everywhere, businesses, stores, shopping centers etc and today many people dresses in blue and silver, myself and James included. It is nothing short of spectacular!
On top of that, I say that without having been in it yet, but we will be in about 2 hours, and I can honestly say I hope we beat the living hell out of the NYG.
We are the "low-lifes" with our 29.00 party passes but staying real damn close to the place, will we have the best view? no, but we're here and it is gonna be pretty bad-ass!
Keep it real and look for us on NBC, we'll be the ones dressed in blue and silver..

DEEP BREATH

wow! what a saturday.... up early and going for the ctr 5k in lockhart, this was almost the same path i ran my first 5k on 4 years ago, I left RR @ 6:20am, in place got the race done in 26:35, that's a lot quicker than four years ago, pretty cool I can take 8 days off, eat normal, drink beer 2 days before and decide to run a race on a wim....... couldn't do that four years ago!
on to thr, double duty.... what a work out, that sizzlin 7 was on, really quick in practice and the heat race, second place run....... the main, not bad, had it up to 5th but used up the brakes and got the tires hot, i'll take 6th..., that is actually only our second race of 09. we know what we need to do to the car, may get interesting soon!
decent night on the mic, other than intoducing terry barden as robert mullins! why did i have to say romco????????!!!!!!!!!! I don't think TB was too pissed at me!
had a good time, saw some old buds from dad's racing days, the Becks from Pflugerville out @ thr, and my buddy Will from work and his fam, and you know my posse SEMAJ & Redd gonna be there for a good time.
I weathered the storm Thursday night @ Dell Diamond, nothin like thirsty thursday under a meatal roof during a lightning storm!
mark martin, way to go hoss, smart racing, the lakers, SA will be back, enjoy it while you can...

well, I can't believe people actually missed this, so here I am, back in business!!!!! kinda like when they brought back the Coke formula, remember that?
not gonna go backwards too far, I can't remember most of that but what a storm last night, we were drinking beer at Dell Diamond last night under a steel cover.......... the beer was good, sounds like it got pretty freakish, I know it rained a lot apparently, we walked out to our car and it certainly was wet! I guess thats the way it works around here..
I have a full weekend, Saturday, gonna skip the ol high school reunion, honestly can't work it into the plan; gonna hit the pavement early with a 5K in Lockhart, i think it on the first path I ever raced on...... then the Sizzlin 7 reappears and I hit the mic @ THR, mucho to do. now I am not Larry Gatlin, not even close, but Sunday after the TSRS show there that we did I was singin that song the entire 180 sumodd miles home! that place is so damn nice, and the tower crew from thr invaded; we did a hell of a job and had the crowd rockin, met some cool folks, shook a bunch of hands and never thought once about the pig flu..... good times, our road shows have really been kick ass this year....
now this week, man talk about busy, there's work.. but the girls both have dance recitals on Saturday, which will insure the #7 car makes money again being parked, not enuff time to pull all that off on Saturday....be back on track 5/23, but that means dress rehearsal, Friday evening...
not to worry tho, i will be with the Sherriff and the Puppetmaster on saturday night talkin the jive anfd keepin it live @ thr.. almost forgot, timing chain the problem on 4/26, for once, i felt the problem b4 and thanks to dad, engine saved, and also thanks to dad, car almost back on it's feet.
my phone quit sometime sat nite, have you ever noticed how new customers get such good deals on phones but those of us who have been with them half their adult life get the shaft??? or is that just my phone carrier??? if you follow my twit it may lack punch a few days, my standby is older than my kids almost, thats cool tho... its all good, quit bitchin RKR!

but last weekend the tower of power road show from THR set sail to CC Speedway, we had a great time there.. even adding to resume announcing for those guys!! there was a poor fella there to study for that job..... i think he watched us and said .... "well, on second thought"!!!!

I watched my buddy Brooke Daniels Sunday nite, sho wanted her to win that crown, & u go Miss Cali...... let's get off her ass (oops!) she did that with tact and there was nothing wrong with it. I saw it live I knew that dude was gonna be pissed~! He was disgusted!
looks like another full weekend behind the mic @ thr, planning to re-un veil the sizzlin 7 but we'll see how that worx, tbd!

Gregg Popovich is the best coach there has ever been, sorry Phil, no comparison! And, The Big Fundamental, the man #21 Timmy, my man, at his best now.... he'll get rest and be better than he has been all year. What will the NBA do if SA makes the Finals again this year???? There are some nervous ass folks at NBA central....
I told my wife the Spurs were struggling a little because I haven't been as "involved" as I should be for them, guess they don't need ME or MANU..........
it is an odd year, title time.. and what a better way to start, Cuban & the Mavs does it get any better?? I have a thought to try to set up a carpool and take in a game, anyone in????

since we last spoke

I went to TMS, that was too crazy! I turned 38, and we had a good show @ THR.
on Sunday, Lent ended on Sunday, we had given up burgers and fries..... so for lunch, carl's jr, for dinner whataburger!!!!! blew 40 days in 6 hours!
my kids had me a tray of fake food waiting sunday morning, burger, fries, taco, and a barbie cup with a straw...... only if it were that easy!!! took in about 2 innigs of express baseball sunday, they got beat..
this week hopefully will be a little tamer, too much drama! Tracy and I heading to CC this weekend for TSRS, we're gonna call their races; hope those folks like our style. bunch of us beach housin from what i hear..... sounds like trouble.
i wish i could play golf like those dudes @ the master's, my wife wishes that too....
just heard Harry Kallas passed away today, voice of the Phillies, fell over and died, he also does nfl, if I could imitate his voice you would know him.. he was pretty good.
i will update more i promise, people actually have asked for more of my inner thoughts; WOW!

Tracy completed in fine fashion the Cap 10K! At least 20 minutes quicker than her previous attempt, she looked great at the finish, carried on coversations, all good! in one piece today!

as for me, great night announcing @ THR this Saturday, we elected to make #7 profitable this week so it stayed home, we are doing some work on it for 4/11, need to be a little quicker. I think it will be, need to keep others off me though!

But, the 48 is back in victory lane, that race had flashes of good racing, don't let me down tms!!

ENUFF ABOUT ME!!!!!!!!!!!!

these deals are always about me and my crazisms, we're gonna give that a break today, it's Cap 10K weekend and this year, i'm staying on the sidelines and my lovely wife Tracy is handling the race in our racing family. This is really cool to me, she is self-trained, only with the aid of one of my running guides did she find a plan and set up and stick to a training plan, no help from anyone at all. She has done exactly what she has needed to do to knock this race on it's ass!
I can tell you, 6.2 miles is no walk in the park, but when someone is prepared as Tracy has, it will be a fun, exciting race, this is a race filled with excitement and pagentry..... biggest one of the year for runners and can get a little nerve racking at the start, but other than that a true test of endurance and self-control. Tracy has been out early, late, whatever to stay on track, that takes a lot of control..... Babe, my first Cap 10K, a dude came and asked if I had done one these, I said "no, i'm just a jogger, only done 5K's"..... he said.. "son, you are wearing a race bib, you are a runner, an athlete"... it had been many years since I thought of myself this way. I know you say you are not the athletic type, bnut through this training and working to this goal, you are an athlete too, and I couldn't be prouder! It will be so fun to watch YOU race!
Good luck, I love you and will be waiting for you at the finish line, i'll be the loud goofy dude!

OH HAIL!!! A STORM!

man we just can't have a little rain around here can we? weds was a normal hump day, same tasks as usual but wait; my 5pm one, take girl to dance class does not get a big ass hail storm in the middle of it often! i usually sneak in a run or go work out at the ymca during that hour, i did the last yesterday because rain was coming, on one of the tv's i see kxan radar, tornados all this shit..
where's that come from? i went to my truck, heavy rain, park at uncovered dance studio.... hailin like crazy, marble sized... i drive a black chevy trailblazer....... i think it survived, only a couple og small dings but i think those are from the last "small front" that had hail.....
otherwise, pretty quiet nite!

tryin to figure if #7 will b ready for saturday, work in progress, madness back on today, i'm second in my tourney, go north carolina!!!!!!!!! at least something exciting to watch tonite, and y&r will not be interupted...(john m.- that chick is bad news for jacko!)
i need to talk about low tops and short bottoms, but i'll do that when i'm at my personal computer!!!!!!

week is rolling

i went out and worked out for about 2 hours yesterday, and i feel it today.. but i'm sure that will pass. looking to get another day in, and wait for the rain.. my kids are excited, with my attempts at dj'g, they get to hear radio other than sports, i even bought this is music 29 or whatever they call those, they were FLOORED sunday when they saw i had a cd with pink & katy perry! i really can't believe it eithier. part of the game i guess..
i saw a report on kxan about teens and sexting.... i want my kids to stay 6 & 8!!! who would have ever thought that when we were young? do you see that fed ex plane that crashed and blew up?
man, that only enhances my fear of flying!
i heard wall street was up 500, whats up with that??? something positive?? shhhh.... don't speak too loud. i have to get back in the news loop, i heard them talking about "toxic ....." on the news and thought there was a sewer problem off montopolis!!!! so, i will make fox news my homepage and get my learn on..

Double Duty

I'm glad i'm a recreational runner, beacuse with my new gig of co announcing with Bobby Chaffee @ THR and racing, i am back and forth, like some of my guys here at work say... "como calzon de puta", i will NOT translate. Ask someone who speaks spanish to translate. But it is pretty cool, many outfit changes though, and thanks to Budweiser for those bad ass caps they provide us..
on the track, i knew it was spring, i got planted twice! in the heat we looked good, led that and even with the wide track i got moved... then spun but gathered it in and did ok. in the main well, we were ok, somewhere around 6-7th place, got drilled and spun then run into head on..
yes i was pissed, and the front side of the sizzlin 7 in pretty trashed, we pulled it apart yesterday AM.... we'll figure out how to sturdy that baby up. i need a carburator if anyone has one for loan???!!!
opening ceremonies were cool, we honored Mr. Jim Reeder, a staple there, and Mary Ann's dad Jake Wallace who is one of my heros, I left out Saturday that one of the things I am most proud of....if you look at pictures from my first main event win in 96 @ Longhorn you see Jake Wallace standing there with me and my family, that is bad ass! I grew up watching that man and there he is with me in victory lane smiling! and our other great friend Shawn Grimland, #29... we lost him way too soon, great guy with a big heart. if the "big dog" liked you, you had a friend for life in him.
Tracy gettin ready for Cap 10K next Sunday... she is progressing sooo well as a runner, the race will be a breeze.

spring broke

it's almost over, and pretty much with the economy I've stayed put! thats ok, we'll go beachin later in the summer...... but it is racing season for me starting tomorrow, man since the austin marathon its been non stop, double duty tomorrow, announcing for the track & racing, should be interesting, stay tuned and i'll keep you posted on how that works out.
March madness in full swing, UT moves on & A&M, thats good I guess, at least for my picks, another exciting day on cbs, altho my wife and I think it sux that we get no young and the restless, man that show is getting good! i was out with a buddy yesterday, he said do you watch the apprentice, i said, "no", then some other shows "no"...... only Y&R!!!! at my house we watch, drake and josh, i carly, cory in the house, raven mamon, sonny in charge and last but not least..... the grown up hannah montana! and y&r! like the electric company "one of these things just doesn't belong here..............."
slammin and bangin at Bristol this weekend, that race is much better at nite but hey i'll take it!

WOW! that about explains it! what a day saturday was @ thr. announcing the events there was only a part of the day.... got to sit in on a tv/media production meeting with speed tv & nascar, that is pretty bad ass... usac midgets are out of this world and rob is a cool guy to watch announce, then sunday am the chili bowl was being replayed and there was rob! hey, you never know.... now it's double duty, time to wipe off my helmet for saturday, its race time..

well we set up motormouth productions last night and went throu a dress rehearsal, all seems to work well...... my buddy James and I are the proud operators of that mobile dj service and our other endeavor www.roundrockradio.com. first gig next friday nite, should be crazy, we both need to learn about today's music, we both being in our later 30's still think RATT is cool, plus we listen to AM so who i the hell is rihanna???it will all be fine, those gigs i think the music will sell itself. also time to begin preparing the 7 car for another tour of duty @ THR, first tho is TExas Racefest where again I get to work with the bad ass motley crew of Bobby Chaffee, Christine Parks and the Wizard himself John Molis (not Molina!). I have a gut (yes) feeling that we are going to really put on a bad ass show that evening, lots happening and it will be a big deal, hope to have the stands full, sure got some unexpected exposure this week, that poor toolbox, he's in deep do-do!
looks like it got cold and windy, i'm fixing to venture out with my sexy wife and go eat some mexican food!!!!!!! I'm glad 26.2 is over, only effect appears to be a couple of purple but healing toenails, if you see me in the hood ask me about them, I'll let you see them..... my honey is training for the Cap 10k, I may skip that and spectate, or maybe not, I have my eye on the SA rock n roll HALF marathon in november, that may be fun.... dead time of the year so we may work that in.

man cause I am beat like one! 26.2 has come and gone and i was 46 minutes faster than 08. it doesn't hurt that my body stayed together this year, other that one black toe nail from compensating some weight and many hills. this year's coarse was challenging to say the least, but I made it! I did hit the dreaded wall around mile 19 thru 22 but came out of it, and what a feeeling to cross the line this year, at full throttle.........!!!!!!
went home to watch the 500, good racing, hopefully that continues thru 09. I like JR but I'm sorry that was all him. if Kyle Busch would have done that, it would be a completly different state of affairs, completly un-called for. these guys do that all day on the plate tracks, vickers only did the norm. Was hoping to see Sadler or Almendinger in the upset, i like Matty but the flair just isn't there but a well-deserved victory, kenseth is one of the best wheelmen and has earned all his success, may a good man has not won this deal, i'm glad for him.
my wife said, he should want to finish the 48 laps, for 1.something million and 180 points, I'll take it!

man woke up to a wet morning today, I heard it raining through the night... one week away from 26.2, I've statred carb-loading early, sure do need to have a smoother run than in 08, hopefully I have my game plan all in check, now I will pray for nice weather. In reality, nice to me is no rain, no wind... I remember 06 was 24 degrees in the ice, but no rain, no wind, thats cool with me. After that gut-wrencher, I'm going to hobble home and watch the great american race, the daytona 500. If Saturday's bud shootout was any indication, this baby may be pretty damn entertaing.... would have loved to see the 26 win, he's a good guy and will be a contender in 09. Bill Elliott has new life, at least for this race....... Thursday will be exciting, and Bobby Labonte looks like the 1998-2000 guys, enjoying life with a fast car, he may be a darkhorse pick for sunday. The Hendrick(s) cars will be good, #5 winning would be the Kurt Warner-feelgood story of the season, guess we'll wait in anticipation.

worth the hoopla

SB 43 is in the books, and I must say, that was a pretty damn good game! I hoped Arizona would win that but oh well, I won't lose sleep over it...... very competitive, starting out tho I thought it may be a snoozer; glad I was wrong!!!!! Kurt Warner is a class act, sure would like to see someone like that with the star on the helmet... we need that, sports in general need more #13's. I knew this dude was good, I picked him up for Fantasy Foolball and he also saved the Round Rock 69ers as well as the cards.
we had a group of folks over, good company, and a good time.......
now, I guess we get ready for Daytona... oh wait, pro bowl saturday!!!!!!!!

well this is the weekend kids, Super Sunday and my last day of beer drinkin for a while, goin clean after Sunday boys & girls, with the 26.2 staring me in the face, its time for ol rkr to eat good and purify my system...... and hell, it's not all that bad every once in a while huh?? speakin of that race, I am actually alot more @ ease than in '08, I think I'm gonna be good.
I sure hope Arizona pulls this out, be a good story.... my poor wife is already planning her trip to the heb Saturday for the goods, biggest holiday of the year, who says baseball is america's favorite pass time, I already forgot who played in the world series, wasn't Houston I know!
martin who owns the #7 Camaro apparently has a # riding on this game with a friend of ours, he doesn't even know who's n the game, but he damn sure knows if 0-9 hits at some point, the 7 will be faster!

after a week of brainstorming, we pulled off one hell of a job @ the THR awards ceremony Saturday nite. Bobby Chaffee, John Molis & Christine Parks are some od the coolest people I know, what a team! Deb Williams & Mary Ann Nauman worked their asses off and hopefully they are happy with the product we gave them. We got nervous as we went off script right away but all in all I think that worked out for the best........ we played that into the night and I think unless you knew the order of the evening, it was all on track, other than a little too late but that happens with a live deal. Sure did enjoy working with Neil Upchurch, grew up listening to him, in my opinion Neil & Mary Ann are the 2 individuals that have the most impact on texas racing, and have for as far back as I can remember....
Bobby kinda hittin the nail on the head with the Kyle Petty award for me, BUT I have a little business left to take care of ON the track, it will all work out, I vowed I will figure a way to race & pitch in with mic.....
gonna get cool on us this week, ready for the BIG GAME??????

you know, like him or not, it sure is nice to know that 1/20/09 will be a day that will be remembered for something that invoved no death, tragedy or bloodshed. many will look back and think back to what they were doing and where they were on this date. it is so cool to see the good ol USA united so massively for something other than a game or concert.... united with anticipation... whether President Obama is able to do what he intends to do, it sure is cool to look at the images and the unity and emotion we saw yesterday. Now day 1, the work begins, GOOD LUCK and GOD BLESS Mr. President, I'm in your corner!

i remember years ago my dad got me 3 little magazine type books from Mcdonalds's recapping super bowls 1-11. yes, i'm that old!!!! i would recite those as a newscast over and over ..... needless to say i can tell you almost every factoid about those games, all the other too!!! see, full of useless information...

call me crazy, I like Terrell Owens, he's crazy and self-centered but I like him, he started the trend of prima donna receivers so he catches the most shit. he will still be good for the cowboys, but you have to have a tough ass guy to run that team.... and JJ has got to back up, his presence is the problem, and I respect him so much for what he has done for the cowboys oranization. let Garrett go, let Wade go and keep your core of millionares..... I promise you, T O leaves, he as so many others do will come back to haunt us when we least expect it.... he could end up in NY with the G-Men, I bet Coughlin could keep him in check!!! I missed the Golden Globes, anyone know who won or why?? I get all of those confused, I've never heard of most of those shows anyway but I live in a shell, didn't they have the People's Choice awards too?? I thought that was the local singing group doin somethin for many years, they were pretty good, heard em many years at the Rockne bazzare.

but the week begins anyway, this weekend was ok, good upsets in the nfl, i think I will be happy if the Arizona Cardinals win this thing, the perinial loser doing well is a good story. now if we get philly v pittsburgh, i will not give a DAMN about that one, they have both beat up on Dallas too much, can't satnd eithier team, I hope for Baltimore & the Cards, nfl will love that match up. saw pacman jones on espn this weekend, that dude is a thug, end of story, what a waste.... he admits that at one point he was rebellion......
went to see gran torino saturday night, clint eastwood will still kick anyone's ass! that dude will win some major awards for that performance, if you don't get your feelings hurt by rough language or slurs, go see it, it's worth the money.

adventures in runnin

i've found that running in areas other than your own neighborhood make for better training, yesterday i had second thoughts. one of my kids was @ dance class, so i put my gear on and headed out, had 45 mins worth of running time.... i took off and all was smooth, wide roads with turns, well turns about about 1 1/2 mile in i started seeing a change, some dudes drinkin beer in the yard, looking at me funny... down the road @ a stop sign, a dude standing there holding what i sure as hell hoped was a portable lighter, i told him "wassup man" he said.. "aawww" i thought ok time for some speedwork !!!!!!! well i got to civilization and it all worked out good, good day to run, other than the detour through the hood..... too bad for pacman along those lines! best move that team has made in 4 years...

i'm torn on the bcs deal tonite, i don't like OU but it sure helps big 12 & UT's cause if they win, so i'll watch it with no real give a shit as to who wins, just hope its close.
we'll talk later about results and i'll post my final top 25 vote, i invite you all to do the same.

People are crazy... or something!

as most do, I wake in the AM for my daily dose of AM news, my choice is KXAN thank you very much... but this morning here were 2 stories back to back; in Wisconsin, a woman took her 3-4 month old to the bar. Granted, I love the bar and have been many times! BUT what sounds wrong there, well, it gets better.... she got boozed up so the bartender called Johnny Law after she left, they found her completly drunked up BREAST FEEDING THE KID!!!!!!!! She was arrested....... ya think! what the hell??? I may throw a few back with the kids around, at the homestead, but taking the kid to the bar??? man wait till the kid is at least 5 or 6 !!! aaaa leeasttt. Followed up with a Round Rock teen busted for child porn ...... a teen..... something ain't right @ that dude's house.
I'm ready for the warmer weather b4 the arctic blast, we all know my stance on weather observations so we'll C I guess..
Talked to an old buddy yesterday, pleading with me to get a hold (or holt if you r a hick) of my old high school athletic office, seems he attends their football games and their PA announcer sux!
I guess he thinks I can do that better, so I did, we'll see how that plays out, who knows, Lockhart Lion football could lead to ESPN, wooooowwwww!
Took the night off from training, don't need to over do it b4 the 26.2, back to it today @ some point.
Lesson for the day, people are crazy, watch out but yet, live well, take a look around and appreciate all you have and those who love you! Almost forgot, my 8 year old decided she was going to start using her new pink alarm clock this AM, we set it, trained how to set, operate the snooze all that stuff... she set it for 6:05. Well, it went off, and off, and off and she never moved!
We'll call that a work in progress!!!!!!!!

to me that game last night sure reminded me of the 04 Rose Bowl when UT beat Michigan, the year fefore the national championship. when Texas started the last drive I told Tracy, this is the time for Colt to become a Texas legend..... and he did jus like VY did that year against the Wolverines. I'm telling you now, this team way overachieved in 08 and they will win the national title next year. Mack Brown is a bmf, all there is to it, Will Muschamp, man that dude is going blow a gasket one day....... when we fell behind I wondered, let's get Chris Jessie!!!!! antone remember that???? ask i'll explain if you don't.
another cool day, took in 4 miles in the cool yesterday as the 26.2 march continues. felt great, this is the best running weather. let's look forward to florida/ou thursday, hopefully a good game.

got off to a blazin year, 5K on 1/1/2009, that was smooth actually, I worried, I sipped on a few coolies the night before so I figured performance would be down. played a lot of wii with the girls, trained more working back to the 26.2 in Febuary.
I can't wait to watch the Horns tonight, altho its been so long I think I forgot most of the roster, on that matter, it we get Giants/Eagles v Pittsburgh, I think I will be completly uniterested in the Super Bowl....... gimme Arizona v Titans; I bet the league and NBC would love that!
back at work today, i didn't miss it!
